Book Review: Warrior Cats: Fire And Ice - Erin Hunter

"Fireheart could hear a roaring around him, like wind in tall trees. The acrid stench of the Thunderpath stung his nostrils, together with a new smell, sharper and more terrifying. Fire!

Book Two of WARRIORS continues Fireheart's quest to be a true warrior, when he finds new danger lurking in the woods as the chill of winter sets in.

WindClan is missing, and hostilities between the remaining three clans place all the cats in peril. Illness and tragic accidents weaken the camp, and ThunderClan needs all its warriors to defend itself - but Fireheart suspects that certain cats may not be as loyal as they appear."

Notes - i was shocked at how much i liked this book. The first book was like Cat War, and for me, this book had a lot more mystery elements to it. Theres the set up with WindClan and the set up with TigerClaw, and i like how everything is played out. i love hot the prophetic dreams are foreshadowed in the first book, and fulfilled on in this book. i also love how its starting to address FireHearts kittypet roots because theyre a big piece of who he is, and it was littered throughout the first book. im glad they address it. i also really like the parts with silverstream and how it all works out. It’s like a romance section but not! I love the way the seasons are described, and the way all the nature is described. It’s really beautiful and cottagecore. The shock of Princess giving away her own kin had he antsy and excited, like i really wasn’t expecting it but it made perfect sense. i think the fight scenes in this book are really well played out, and they make a bit more sense than the first book. And that shock reveal with yellowfang? my goodness!! i think the relationship building between fireheart and graystripe is so cute, and i love their brotherhood so much.
