Piano lessons

I took up piano lessons recently and so far I’ve been to maybe like 3 lessons. Yesterday I came in early cuz my brother had an extra class but the lady at the counter said I could enter the room early and practice on my own if I wanted so I did since it was better than being on my phone. Put that aside, I don’t know if im going to make much progress in the next few months since I only have lessons once a week which only last half an hour. My teacher’s okay, she’s a lady in about her early 20s but sometimes I wonder if she stresses about teaching me especially considering im one of the older students with basically no musical knowledge at all. Im also wondering if the price my dad is paying for these lesson fees is worth it at all. 

I watched a YouTube video a while ago of Paul McCartney playing the piano and talking about how easy it is to make a song with simple chords if you know how to make a good melody and it gives me hope for myself with my own musical journey even though im not born musical genius like he is
