the internet has turned into something mundane, oversaturated and all-consuming... everything feels corporate and bland now. I wish it was still new and exciting and contained in a single place you could leave and come back to instead of following you everywhere you go. It's sad to see the remnants of the old internet slowly fade away :/ Thats kind of why I like this website, but then I don't find myself using it much.
i want the internet to be new again

To be fair, the internet still has a lot of life to it, you just have to search a little harder now. Definitely has been overcentralized to hell and back though, and the funneling of everyone into those specific spaces has lead to fascinating kinds of brainrot.
And the internet was also some serious booboo back then, too, it's just that we've forgotten how bad it used to be because now we've been inundated with WORSE!!! But yeah, I wish the internet was less omnipresent. While I personally embrace it to an extent, it definitely gets taxxing with how much the internet and the flesh-world cross over.
