I've been wondering for the longest time why soo many movies ESPECIALLY from y2k have terrible ratings, forgotten but are actually funny. So I'm making a list of them. I have the memory of a goldfish sometimes so I'm gonna add them as I remember. Also I'm from America so this list is going to be American movies. HOWEVER - If you have a movie (country doesn't matter) you want me to watch that you think is underrated I'll watch it and add to the list!
"Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star (2003)" is what triggered this list. It's about a man who was a popular child actor in need of a comeback. And finds himself on the doorstep of a suburban family. I loved the end credits. It shows grown up child stars from various popular shows singing about being "child stars on your television "

"Grown ups 2 (2013)" Lenny Feder movies his family back to his hometown. Between his crazy friends, run ins with weird high school classmates, and preparing for his kids last day of school... He's in for a crazy day. (And if you didn't get enough shirtless Taylor Lautner scenes in Twilight - you'll enjoy this)
"The Hot Chick (2002)" Before mean girls even came out Rachel Mcadams played another popular sorta mean girl. A girl switches bodies with a man she thought was a gas station attendant but is actually a robber holding up the gas station. Now trapped in the body of a fully grown man she sets off on a wacky journey recruiting her best friend and making amends with random girls at her school to eventually find the sloppy robber that's in her body.
"Freaky (2020)" if you liked the hot chick, but also love horror comedies you'll love this! A very unpopular teen girl one night becomes the target of the elusive local serial killer that's been killing students from her school. A mishap occurs when he stabs her shoulder with a ancient knife causing the two to wake up the next day in swapped bodies. Now in the body of a 50 something year old man she goes on a wacky journey to find the serial killer that's in hers, who has been going on a spree at her school.
"Freaky Friday (2003)" A therapist in the middle of preparing for marriage , taking care of her patients, and her new book is having problems with her teenage daughter. A teen girl who is being terrorized by her little brother, English teacher and a mean girl; wishes to get the attention of her busy mother and feels misunderstood. During a dinner at a Chinese restaurant they argue about how they don't feel seen by one another. They are each given a fortune cookie with the same message inside. The ladies wake up the next morning - having to go through each others day and learn it's not easy being one another.
"The nanny Diaries (2007) A college grad in need of a job, saves a little boy from getting hit by an idiot on a scooter. She is then hired by the little boy's mother to be his Nanny. The girl soon finds out how troubling the task will be after noticing the boy's peculiar behavior and his parent's negligence.
Sydney White (2007) A girl raised by her plumber dad and his work friends- attends goes to the same college her deceased mother went to in the 80s. Yearning to have a connection through her mom's past she joins same sorority. Sydney soon learns that it's not the same "sisterhood" it was when her mom attended. The leader of the sorority whose also the most influential girl in the school is desperate to stay number one of the college's "hot or not" list. Drew Barrymore & Adam Sandler movies
"The Wedding singer (1998)" An entertainer and a waitress work at weddings. (I have not watched this one and it's actually highly rated but I wanted to add it bc they are both leads in this movie)
