On Friday, I watched Kokomo City (2023), after having put it off for a very long time (for as long as Koko has been dead). It's a must-see about trans girls in sex work for survival, and the dangers and men they service. I lived for the stylistic choices for greyscale, and the word art, and the way flashbacks and stories were enacted. D. Smith really had a laptop and a dream and it's obvious, but I don't criticise her for that.
Saturday, I watched a tonally-jarring one. The Idea of You is essentially probably Nicholas Galitzine's best project ever because he got to kiss Anne Hathaway multiple times. His filmography has truly led me to places I wouldn't even go with a gun. It's cheesy, it's very Wattpad, idk what else to say about it. I'm not a 1D fan so I can't really be a true appreciator.
