PERSONALITY

Laurel doesn't know it, but she is a bright beam of light to those who couldn't afford to have parents as loving or thoughtful as she is. Always thinking of other people and keeping her deepest emotions to herself, this lonely, family oriented, childless mother does everything she can to show any and all unloved people the love they truly deserve. She will stop at nothing to show it, sometimes coming off a bit pushy. But what mother isn't?

BACKGROUND

Born in May of 1981 in Château-Chalon, France, Laurel Anne Hesser was born to secretary Louise and electrician Bastien Hesser. She was a very shy girl, not making much of a statement until she decided to be the first girl in her family to go to college, as well as to leave her town and pursue education in the United States. She became engaged to her somewhat-abusive fiance, Paul Whitaker, after having his child, Ivory, and began teaching at Edgewater High School (or Pico's School, to be exact) in 2005.

After only a year of working at the job she loved, she was murdered brutally in a intense massacre that took place at the school. She was shot fourteen times in the chest and abdomen, and then she was beheaded and dismembered. Not knowing she had passed away, she woke up months later in a type of purgatory; one that didn't show her the true condition of the now-abandoned school she had wandered. She saw none of the rats, the leftover corpses, the caution tape and collapsed walls and ceilings... She only saw an empty, empty school.

However, after being freed by a familiar face after a true act of kindness, she finds herself in a whole new world, so many years later, with no husband or daughter (with Paul now dead and Ivory god-knows-where)... And all she can do is go right back to what she felt destined to do: love, be flexible, and educate as much as possible, keeping her inner sorrow hidden like a treasure to be found.

JESSY WALKERS (PLAYED BY CASS): One of the first people to truly be kind to me after my displacement. I hope she feels my gratefulness in every smile.

PICO (PLAYED BY RADIO): The first of many. I wish I could soothe that constant feeling of being watched and stalked from you. I would take all of your pain if it meant you slept well for even one night, mon poor enfant. I suppose letters and the occasional visit will have to do.

COCO (PLAYED BY RADIO): The more-famous one. I wish I understood what those streamings were about, and the games you've played-- but I suppose that just means I'll have to learn. I'm hip. I promise!

NICO (PLAYED BY RADIO): A bit troubled, but I don't mind. All he needs is patience, even if sometimes he hurts my feelings. It all comes from inside. I just wish he wouldn't think every gift is a trade...

MIX PICO (PLAYED BY RADIO): Perhaps the largest Pico? We haven't personally spoken... But I would like to know what he was fed to make him so tall! And maybe the recipe... Hehe.

CODA (PLAYED BY RADIO): Why won't he eat anything I make, or take the things I've sewn for him? So fickle, and stubborn... But I love him, regardless. He is sweet beneath it, I know it!

CHIP (PLAYED BY RADIO): Cold. But aren't they all, usually? I wish he would tell me more about himself. Something in me can tell we would get along nicely!

PSYCO (PLAYED BY RADIO): Very easy to speak with. Not easy to write to... I hope he doesn't think his maturity will make me any easier on him than the others. He is still one of my babies! But it is refreshing to speak to someone like him. (Maybe if I ask nicely he'll let me adopt a cat... Kidding!)

EBONY (PLAYED BY RADIO): I wish I knew how to get to you. I'm not sure how to start the conversation, but I'd like to. Maybe I'll ask the girl you're always alongside. I'm glad someone can know you.

CICI (PLAYED BY RADIO): A baker, like myself! I'm a bit jealous that my male counterpart is closer with you than I can be, but as long as I can nag and nip at you in some way, my heart is content. Hehe.
