The Suicide of Rachel Foster (a videogame)

[Second Blog Post]

Gosh, I can't believe it's been two months since I've written my first blog post about Britney Spears. Time really does fly by, doesn't it? Anyways, today's blog (5/17/2024), is going to be about a videogame I've mentioned in my first blog post (nearing the end of it, I believe) mentioning videogame, "The Suicide of Rachel Foster." Now, by just looking at the title, it looks and seems like the game is about a girl named Rachel Foster who commits suicide, but it's way more than that, and spoilers, she doesn't commit suicide at all.

Okay, so where do I begin? "The Suicide of Rachel Foster" is a story-like game, and by that, I mean instead of a first-person shooter or a game where you have a certain amount of life's, "The Suicide of Rachel Foster" is a short of walk-through game. When you first press play for the game, it immediately goes with its story-like feature and has the main character, Nicole (forgot her last name already) is reading a letter her mother wrote before her timely death, speaking on the disgrace Nicole's father was and how the "young women" Nicole's father, Leonard had relations with did the right thing jumped off a cliff near their hotel residence they owned together (which like I stated earlier, Rachel did not commit suicide, so she was, if not clear enough, was shoved off by a "mysterious" someone), and in short terms told Nicole to do a classic inspection of the hotel's (may I add horrible) state before selling it off. I'd also like to mention really quick that her father, Leonard is also no longer alive, but in my playing's of this game, I couldn't figure out how he died, what dating/timing he died, and if he died before Nicole's mother, but either way, back onto the game, after Nicole reads her mother's letter, it goes right to Nicole (in her car alone, during a blizzard I might add) driving to the hotel to do the inspection. Once she gets into the garage of the hotel, she recalls what the lawyer her mother hired before her death told her that the keys (to unlock the upstairs doors) would be in Leonard's office, so she goes there first.

Once in the office you'll begin to hear the telephone in the office on the desk ringing, and no matter if you make Nicole run or not, you won't reach it in time, and it takes to voicemail. Once you get to the voicemail recorder, you click on it and dismisses a random call with a telephone marketer who was trying to get a hold of Leonard (this part also confused me since I couldn't figure out what time and date it took place, and yes, I believe that holds significance).

[Hi, so sorry to cut this short, but it's 9:06 p.m. where I'm at and I have a big event tomorrow so I won't be able to finish this videogame rant of mine, but if I have any time tomorrow, I'll try to continue on with it. Again, sorry for the inconvenience, but got some plans, so this will have to be halted].
