"Masked Fools" and Absurdism

WARNING: I am only at the very beginning of my comprehension of such a phenomenon as philosophy (considering also that everything studied never reaches its end, at least I want to believe in it :( ), and as soon as I go a certain way, I do not argue, I can either refute or reinforce my further reasoning.

To everyone who has passed the currently well-known Penacony plot: You probably already know who the "Masked Fools" are, if you have not yet had time to familiarize yourself with this group, then in short - these are some of the investigators of the Path of Elation, known game characters: Sampo, Sparkle.

The boot screen prompts already mention that the "Masked Fools" are hedonists. But knowing the modern interpretation of the word "hedonist", I would like to experiment with other concepts that may be better suited to "Fools", and thus get closer to understanding the Path of Elation.

But let's first figure out what kind of direction this is: hedonism? 

It is here that I will tell you what it was, and is, such a philosophical direction that, in simple words, appeals to pleasure as the primary and most important task that will allow a person to achieve true happiness and the meaning of life. In fact, do everything for the sake of enjoyment. (Of course, if you don't dive into the details - if it's interesting, I'll dedicate a separate article in the blog x))

It even looks like a "Fools", so calling them hedonists, we are not mistaken, since even their characteristics indicate this. But if we take an even more interesting and complex direction, for example... Absurdism?

Absurdism is the key feature in the name of the current itself. Everything is done for the sake of the absurd, and human activity itself is absurd, because it is meaningless, but it continues to exist - isn't that what the absurdity is?

Albert Camus (French philosopher, writer and publicist) pointedly puts the very essence of absurdism into his "Myth of Sisyphus", comparing Sisyphus with humanity. Sisyphus is forever forced to push the stone up, even knowing the result that even, in the end, the stone will never reach its final destination, it will always return to where it was pushed from, and thus all the work of Sisyphus does not make any sense, he just does the same work forever. Humanity is doing meaningless things from the point of view of all things, just moving somewhere - and where? Unclear. Are we all Sisyphus? Then how to survive with such an absurdity?! For Camus, everything is relatively simple: you need to imagine Sisyphus happy. Is it a bad thing that Sisyphus is already engaged in some kind of business? (Of course, we will keep silent about this punishment... We are still reflecting on the activities of Sisyphus as such) In general, we define the meaning of Sisyphus' work ourselves, as well as our own, thereby making ourselves happy and that's enough.

Let's return to the "Fools" - their activities can hardly be called such an activity that will have any outcome and meaning. And the "Fools" themselves define what is happening around them as a kind of "absurdity", which they endlessly laugh at (like the Aha - Eon of Elation itself). They understand (and most importantly accept) the meaninglessness of their surroundings, paradoxically filling it, nevertheless, with their own meaning and laughter, which spreads throughout the universe, getting the same pleasure from it.

Therefore, the "Masked Fools" remain the most ingenious fools in the proposed system of the world.
