Wanna get into Vkei but don’t know where to start? I got you! Here’s some of the bands I personally like separated in 3 groups by their approximate genres ^^
First of all, let’s talk about what Visual Kei is in case if you stumbled upon this blog accidentally. Visual kei is a Japanese music movement that combines a unique style of rock music with striking visual aesthetics. Originating in the 1980s, the genre is characterized by its performers' elaborate and often androgynous costumes, flamboyant hairstyles, dramatic makeup, and theatrical performances. The term "visual kei" itself translates to "visual style".
PLEASE understand that a lot of vkei bands may or will be problematic, DO NOT treat them like kpop. Vkei is supposed to be shocking, a lot of bands are purposely unsettling. One day you call a bandman cute, the other day he goes to jail XD
Before you start complaining about genres not being correct, just know that I put the bands whenever I wanted cuz its my blog duuuh cry abt it

the sound of music, different styles. visual kei is more about aesthetic and visuals, while the type of music is different in each band. some bands are metal, some are punk, some even sound like pop and so goes on
