Target Halloween 2009: Skelanimals

Have you ever seen a photo from the past and just wished you could blue skidoo into it? Because I certainly have.

Here's a photo from a local Target store which opened in late 2009. I was 3 years old when it was taken (around September/October 2009 when it first opened) and I would kill to have been around my current age back then:

The thing that really stands out to me about this photo here (aside from the iconic white neon lights up on the walls which they sadly shut off around July 2016 or so and got rid of the Pizza Hut Express as well around that same time) is the Skelanimals Halloween banner they had up on the ceiling here. If you look closely, you can see Diego the Bat, Kit the Kat, and Timmy the Spider on the orange and black banner in this photo.

Here's another photo from late 09 proving that this was indeed Target's Halloween theme that year from another location (not sure where this one is, but you can tell this location is an even older location from maybe the 1990s or so based on the blue neon lights on the white and yellow wall here instead of the more modern red and white walls with white half circle lights):

They were also selling actual Skelanimals merchandise too, as this photo here shows clearly:

If and when time travel is invented (hopefully at some point during my lifetime), I'm hopping into a time machine and this will be one of the things I use it for. It pains me knowing that Target used to be so cool sold awesome Skelanimals products (and also had a Pizza Hut express where you could actually sit down and eat inside the store as well as their iconic neon lighting on the walls) and is now just a shell of what it once was.
