My major requires an internship even though it's my first year of college. Currently, I'm fulfilling that requirement with a short, four-week internship at an engineering firm. This company specializes in consulting and providing services across a variety of fields, including audiovisual, meteorology, and environment. On my first day, they were celebrating a colleague's recent wedding, and on my second day, they celebrated another colleague who recently had a baby. It was a lovely experience, and I even enjoyed some delicious food! The company itself is very warm and welcoming, with a comfortable and positive work environment. It's not too large or too small, but just the right size. I felt welcomed by every employee; they're always happy to help and check in to see if I need anything. I've begun working on my assigned report, and my supervisor is a kind and humorous man. We even get to watch funny monkey videos together sometimes! Overall, it's been a very positive experience. However, the internship will soon transition to a twice-a-week schedule, which means I won't see them as often as I initially expected. The focus will shift more towards completing my assigned tasks. Despite this change, I truly appreciate the company and the people I've met and worked with.

While the company itself is not really directly relevant to my supply chain management major, I enjoyed working with the team there and would love to stay in touch. My focus is on the industrial field, so an engineering firm company is not the best fit for me. Regardless, I value the friendships I made and would be happy to connect down the line. It's sad that I only have a couple of days left to spend with them.
