KiBLS Poetry - Discover freedom!

Discover freedom!

We are like gullible birds in cages, we all were caged over eons of ages. Genuine freedom - we did not know. Before our eyes we enjoyed a show. Our cages promised us good protection, and we adored this shelter projection. Suddenly everything begins to change, cage doors open and that seems strange. Now we notice the real world out there, and we realize it's neither safe nor fair. We'll receive no shelter or food any longer. But self-responsible we will become stronger. For outside is so much beauty to explore. We just have to step out of the open door. Dare you and leave these bars behind you! Don't let any outdated lures blind you!     (written by KiBLS) Written: 01.04.2021 | Published: 07.04.2021

I think a lot of your Poetry is ageless and timeless, and has an appeal for all ages. I think your work is worthy of putting into books. Have you thought about finding a Publisher ?

Yes, when I finished my first book in German in 20010/2011, I wrote to many publishers and to my great surprise, every publisher wanted to publish my book. When we started talking more about it, it turned out that every publisher wanted me to pay a share of the printing costs in advance. The sums varied widely from EUR 3000 to EUR 20,000 and my profit margin also varied greatly with each offer.

I then asked myself the question; I pay for my publication, the printing, do the work and should only pay a lot of money for a publisher to print their logo on it. Finally, in 2017, I started publishing everything on the internet because the poems are too good to gather dust on a bookshelf somewhere or stay on my hard drive because of rip-off deals. And I had also considered self-publishing, but for that I need a large readership first and there will soon come a point in history where some of my poems could be interpreted as state deligitimization or possibly even as hate speech, which makes it very questionable to publish the whole thing under my real name. But let's see what the future brings.

Hmm yeah, I see what you're saying... you do have to be careful.
Yes, definitely better on the internet for the masses to read instead of gathering dust on a book shelf. What a cheek to ask you to chip in for the printing fees etc. It's very disheartening, when you realise their agenda. I can remember years ago feeling flattered that a poetry website wanted to put a couple of my poems in a book they were putting together - then asked me to pay a fee for it to put in there, then a fee to buy the book! What a nerve. I think they still used the poems but I didn't buy the book.

Well, yes, without a big name you can forget about being treated fairly and justly. But the same is true for the music industry and pretty much every other artistic category. Everywhere the mainstream controls the topics that are allowed to come to the surface. But that's an expression of our twisted times where people walk around poisoned and brainwashed, looking for some messiah or someone to blame :D lol...
