[Rant] Eurovision 2024

OMFG I'M SO MAD ABT THIS YEARS EUROVISION

(also I'm not from Europe or even have a hint of European blood in me so this is just a stance coming from an American. ALSO I'm not asking for anyone to take this seriously because this is just my silly little rant)

1) Joost Klein being discualified

he was being harassed CONSTANTLY by Karen Peles (the song written for Israel) she filed a complaint after literally illegally filming him and another time filmed him against his wishes. the EBU confirmed that Israel broke the rule of conduct during the semi-final 1. Because of the EBU disqualifying Joost Klein two other contestants (Käärijä & Alessandra Mele) withdrawed aswell.

2) brining politics into a SINGING COMPETITION 

KEEP IN MIND Eurovision was never supposed to be about politics, just music. in 2022 Eurovision banned Russia because of the war between them and Ukraine. The EBU didn't hesitate to ban a country that is in Europe but lets a country that's been causing a genocide for the past few months join. and on top of that Israel isn't even apart of Europe. 

 the double standards are CRAZZZYY to me. 

to clear this up, I'm 100% not saying that I stand with Russia, but I'm saying that they shouldn't have politics influence Eurovision. Honestly if two countries are beefing neither of them should participate in eurovision because the votes will definitely be altered.
