LILAC LEMONADE
sharp guitar, rip through the strings
walls are chipping, once were pink
flowers take me back to preschool,
plastic petal covered minds.
light as yellow as a sunset
spill your tea before it's cold,
red sheets stained with discreet glances
potted roses, stench of mold.
sip on lilac lemonade
it sends shivers down your spine
pierces crudely through your teeth,
freezes slowly to the mind.
call to those magenta walls
vinyl records put on hold,
fall asleep – wake up alone
plastic flowers yearn for home.
