hello, friends! as some of you may know, since 2020 i’ve been working through the backwards bureaucracy a lot of trans people are forced to go through in order to receive gender affirming care and i have just now finally gotten past the red tape!!!
i have gotten the green-light i need to officially begin my medical transitioning journey but trans healthcare is not insured in my country and neither is it a priority in our public healthcare system. as it is, i am not able to afford the recurring tests and checkups appointed to me as well the medication to start this process. i am appealing to you all to help me if you are in a position to do so or to spread the word in the hopes that someone who is sees this. the cost of the initial blood tests and subsequent consultations + medication comes up to zar 14 400 which is about $800.
your support would mean playing a large part in my journey and i would greatly appreciate it all 🩵🩷🤍
