Why did Helvitica and Arial have to be the popular fonts? Cause they're simple? Boring. What if it was the ps3 font? What if the standard font was the spider-man font? What if they made Homoarakhn the default?

Those fonts are the standard fonts because computers are mostly used in work places.
work places are serious, thus using serious fonts
also because they're arguably the most legible fonts. works using sans fonts such as arial/helvetica are quicker to read & more efficient.
