Just got back from seeing this movie. Not only was it visually striking with a mix of CG and frame-by-frame animation, but the writing was very stand-out and captivating, and it left me overall very impressed. The message it conveyed that humans were born to love was beautiful and true. People don't love people out of what they do or are worth, they just love people for who they are. Constant fighting won't do anything, because people were born out of love. That point's something I -- and anyone else who watched -- can take away. My personal favorite characters were Shinn and Lacus. Will have to watch the other SEED stuff eventually, I want more of these characters. Overall, I rate this movie a brilliant 10/10. Even though I hadn't seen anything SEED-related beforehand, I could still understand the movie and what they were talking about and thought the movie was an amazing, necessary commentary on the nature of humanity. Although that's sort of what the entire Gundam franchise has been exploring.
