in which i reminisce

Good evening! i recently started having an intense nostalgic fever, and in the heat of yearning i made a playlist of the songs i frequently listened to around 3-4 years ago. i used to be quite active in the "utatemitta/tried to sing" scene. one of my absolute favourite was Miyashita Yuu, a brilliant singer. i remember being so enamoured with him that i just had to post about it on tumblr, and i usually dont do that. i was really into Vocaloid too, my favorite producers being syudou and kikuo. actually they were way too many to even list. i liked takayan too, as well as yorushika/n-buna and yoasobi. i was around just before yoasobis rise to fame with the oshi no ko os actually. nilfruits and hiiragi kirai has excellent songs too.... 

circling back to Miyashita yuu, i vowed to learn japanese just so i could reply on his twitter in proper japanese lol.. which is a wish I'm sure other teenagers had at one point in their life(hopefully). ive also been a huge fan of wooma, their art influencing mine for a while. 

there are some other artists i listened to alot, but you get the idea. safe to say my interests fell more to the jp side, despite not speaking the language... it was one of my motivations to learn japanese. but since then my music tastes have evolved, and i dont listen to jp songs as much anymore..

i really do love looking back on that time of my life though. i think its really cute that i could get so invested on something like that, when im so indifferent now. a little melancholic too i think, because i used to be someone so passionate....i think my 13 yr old self would be a tiny bit disappointed with me now. i dont dwell on it too much. just moderately yearning for who i used to be lol

anyway, i dont want to end this entry all depressing, so i wanna say that its okay to grow i think.
