Who's Aaron gillespie?

Aaron Roderick Gillespie is an amazing artist, he plays drum & guitar. He's the lead drummer/vocalist for Underoath and The front man for his own christian band The Almost (he only sings and plays guitar). Aaron was born in 1983 July 18th in Clearwtaer, Florida. He was raised by Christian parents and raised as Christian. He's and one of my friends (Milica) the reason why I think that I'm christian. Last week I decided to be christian because it make sense for me and I like new stuffs lol Anyways. He was playing drums since he was 5. His father said: "I can see jesus in you son while you playing drums." He was playing drums at church every sunday until 18. He had a high school best friend Spencer who already was in a band called Underoath. Spencer & Aaron are went to church together so basically they already knew each other... That current drummer for underoath left the band and spencer thought Aaron would fit in the band because he knew him and like everyone knew that he can play drums like god he's a monster behind the drums. His and my style are the same we play drums the same way we both learned playing drums the same way. His and my inspiration in drumming life are: Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana)

I just mentioned a few... Aaron was officially band member when he turned 20. In the past 2 years at that time he just jammed with the band and tried to find the chemistry with the members. He didn't have own drum kit because it was too expensive like nowdays and yes that's why I don't have either lmao. In the begining Aaron didn't do vocals he started doing vocals and not just drums later in 2004 Underoath's second studio album and since then he does the vocals. Spencer is the front man ofc and he used to sing as well but he's mostly just scream on older records! Underoath consist of 6 band member.

Aaron has two kids. He's got a son who is 12 years old now. And he's got a daughter who is 5 years old this year. Aaron & his family live in Nashville, Tennessee my 2nd favourite state in America. Aaron has a small farm and country house in Tennessee. He got married 5 years ago now, but he was married this before. From his previous marriage was born his son and from his current marriage was born his daughter who's really look like him lol Anyways. 

Aaron is a cancer like me basically we are the same! We both play drums like we do and we use the same size of sticks and we think the same about music & life! Like Literally! I hope one day everyone will know my name around the world and hopefully I can play song and tell my story for you guys live! LOL 

The almost - Is a christian band found by Aaron in 2005 as side project with his high school best friends and friends from church like childhood friends lol Anyways. The Almost is straight Christian band they're not swearing in their songs but still fast, loud & heavy and that's what I love about them! I highly recommend for christians or just simply those who loves heavy music or wanna try out something new or change genre or just taste it. The almost consist of 5 member. Aaron is the vocalist and guitarist for the band. Joe Musten is the drummer for the band. Dusty Redmon is the Lead guitarist for the band. Jay Vilardi is the Rythm guitarist for the band. Jon Thompson is the bassist for the band. Top 4 hits for the band is: Say this sooner, Amazing, because It is; Southern Weather; Hands. And also this my top 4 favourite song from the band. They're still active, but I guess the drummer isn't the same because when Aaron took a break the were just disbanding for a while because Aaron got a phone call from Paramore. Zac Farro the Drummer for paramore left the band in 2013 and Paramore wanted replace a drummer asap! So Aaron got the job at least they hired him for Paramore tours from 2013-2017. Fun Fact Aaron was full time drummer for paramore in 2017. When Zac left the band in 2013 paramore already did its 5th studio album A.K.A.: Self titeld album. It's called Paramore lol So you can hear Aaron playing on the record Fast In My Car he just helped finish the album for the band. You can hear his creativity like he was born for this and he just fit to the band so much! As I mentioned he was just a tour drummer for the band & sometimes he played songs on records... In 2017 Zac came back to the band and paramore thanked all the job for Aaron and they just became friends with the band and they used to meet in life and they already were on tour together with paramore I mean Paramore & Underoath in 2007!! I just mention a tour Warped Tour '05 & '07! A lot of pop punk and metal band took a part in this festival/tour including blink & Avril Lavigne, Green Day and so on the list is endless a lot of band like legendary bands.... Unfortunately the warped tour last year was in 2020! After 2020 warped tour just ceased! 

Present - Aaron and a few of his friends wrote a few song a year ago that they didn't record with the almost but it's more like country song I've just listened to it and it's lit. He made a post about on Ig 7 days ago. Probably he will record and drop out to spotify somedays but we dunno when exactly lol I can't wait. Underoath just recorded a new album in 2023 but they wrote all the songs between 2021-2022. This album got really emotional because of Aaron. Because Aaron got divorced once and then got married again. Spencer talks about his 15 years of drug addiction on the record so it's an emotional record for 100%. Currently they on tour around the world until next year. The Almost is just taking a break but sometimes during the tour Aaron used to play alone in bars/pubs sometimes their own songs sometimes a cover song from bands but the acoust version of them which is really cool!!

Aaron loves Zildjian cymbals and itself the company. His favourite Cymbal series is Zildjian K custom, Zildjian K sweet & Zildjian K constantinople. He usually Mix these cymbals.... Back in the day from 2004-2010 he played Meinl Traditional Byzance Cymbals... He loves using 15" 16" hi-hats, 16" crash and 22" Ride... He had an endorsement with Truth Custom Drums from 2004-2017. From 2017 he has endrosement with Gretsch Drums but sometimes he just take his DW drums to the tour or his yamaha kit... Currently he took his DW kit! He usually plays with 5B sticks sometimes 2B sticks which is more thicker! I play with 2B sticks at home but at school I take my 5A sticks which is really thin it's for jazz drummers but basically you can play any genre with it it just brokes way more earlier!!!!

Aaron like me we have unique emoish/punkish & country style. Basically we love everything to wear. We grew up listening to The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Beach Boys, Nirvana and so on.... The list sooo long lol
