Literally anyone with a little bit of education would know him, you'd read his books at school unless you're a little child. And that besides the point that most of them found out about him through tiktok or bsd (anime). You're not special for knowing one of the most famous classical literature authors. He's a great author and definitely worth reading even outside of school but why is it necessary to act all edgy about it
People on tiktok acting as if Dostoevsky is some sort of forbidden knowledge is fucking embarrassing

I mean tbf you’d only read his books in school if u lived in an English speaking country (as far as I’m aware) but yea I’ve seen Dostoevsky get mentioned a lot on places like Pinterest along with Franz Kafka. Coming from someone who hasn’t read either idrk what the hype is about, might give it a shot but I don’t really read classic literature
