my experience being in AP Seminar!!

So my experience being in AP Sem has been pretty positive, I have a great teacher and that definitely contributes to how much I like the class and the assignments (IRR, TMP, IWA, IMP). However, I have had a couple of times when it's not so pleasant.

When we were selecting our groups in October for our TMPs, I got stuck with 🗿. At first, it wasn't too horrible, but when we were cutting it close to the deadline from December to January, I asked him if he could begin working on his part of the group presentation. He said that he'd work on it @ home but whenever I checked his progress, surprise surprise, there wasn't much there.

It seemed pretty obvious at this point that he didn't care for the topic we were discussing which is completely fine but if you're going to sit down, play games on your phone, and act like everything's sweet when it's not, it starts becoming a problem. So eventually I told my teacher and he reassured me that for the grading I wouldn't be affected too much but regardless of that I was still frustrated, reasonably so.

A couple of months pass by and we start working on our individual essays and presentations. I did my IWA (Individual Written Argument) on the situation happening in Gaza. A couple of days ago we submitted our essays from the first and second semester and I got news that 🗿 didn't submit any of his essays. That and his presentation was pretty bad. I can't say too much other than he picked his nose while speaking & made a racist remark about immigrants.

Overall, the class is a 10/10 and while the group project might sound a bit scary, it's quite the opposite. It's freeing to voice your opinion and show off your research, so just remember, you could not do any worse than my classmate,🗿.

(P.S. - if you're planning on taking AP Sem, feel free to add me so I could help with revisions & whatnot!!!)
