Rant regarding proshippers

Dear proshippers, proshipping is not only ineffective but also harms others in a way, here’s why (very long rant btw) proshipping is where you headcannon a character as a pedo and a another character as a victim, the whole point of this is to not feel alone in this situation, however this mechanism also constantly reminds you of what happened which also makes it harder for you to heal, yes it kind helps to acknowledge what happened but it also doesn’t help when you are reminded everyday, can also cause a someone to think that it’s a normal thing to do, which can cause them to harm someone. And I can assure you that romantizing it isn’t helping you. “Are you a therapist?” No I but I actually know how this “coping mechanism” shit actually works because I’ve harmed myself with one before AND I have actual common sense and that should be fucking enough.
