First Blog Entry/Discussing 1930s Literature (5/5/24)

When I was 13 in quarantine, I taught myself how to code HTML. I'm glad I'm finally getting a chance to use that here. I never realized how much I missed the old internet without any algorithms and only people that I actually like being able to see my posts. Not that I know any people on here... Yet... So, if you see this, please say 'hello'. And if you really feel daring, and if you've cared to read this far, tell me what your favorite subgenre of metal is.

Recently I've been revisiting a lot of works by Evelyn Waugh. I just got finished re-reading Vile Bodies for the millionth time. I wish I could talk about it without spoiling it. If you haven't read it, go read it and then come back and tell me all about it. Write me a book report. Besides the wonderful Mr. Waugh, I've also revisited The Great Gatsby, which needs no introduction because we all were/will be forced to read it at some point in our education.

I have always been interested in the things that happened before I was born. Millions of years of history happened before my existence and will millions more will happen when I am gone. Hopefully. Just as long as we slow down our rate of how fast we are killing our planet. Maybe someday in 2124 a boy just like me will talk about his love for 2020s literature. But I highly doubt that, with the state of "literature" today... If it was up to me, I would bring back Evelyn Waugh for just one day to write a story and to show people how good writing can be when it's not filled with shitty smut and obviously written just as a quick cash grab taking advantage of all the lonely gooning women of the western world.

Ah, well, time goes on.
