My honest opinion abt the word "cringe" (TW: OPINIONS⚠️)

My HONESTTTTT opinion on the word "cringe" and why:

I first heard of this word around like 2019 when I was on Twitter (X now), it was a post about someone making weird faces on a TikTok video. I obviously didn't think much of it at the time, but over the years the word has gotten more attention and become more popular in most people's vocabulary. The word was created for jokes, but now I just feel like people use it more to just offend individuals instead of jokes.

Have I ever used the word though? Yeah, I did at first when I discovered it. It was more on the cool side, and I just thought that I could join in on it. But now years later, I've grown to have a strong dislike towards it. Let's say for an example if a dude posted himself in a furry costume dancing to a song. Innocent enough, right? Apparently not to half the population of the world. Some people would just harass a random person they don't know who was just sharing a thing they made/bought.

Like why can't people be creative anymore now? I would die to have that freedom. I miss in 2020 when we would have the most creative and craziest ideas, and I find it funny that I have more filled sketchbooks and crafts I made from that time period. I sometimes refuse to draw in my sketchbooks out in public/private because of how judgmental people can be. My Hero Academia, Promised Neverland, and so many more shows/anime were popular around that time because almost no one judged you, besides if you actually were problematic. Some shows like mha (My Hero Academia) are actually GOOD (opinion), but people just want to make fun of anyone for watching that show just because of a few lines/scenes.

I scroll through social media, and just see piles of people hating on fandoms for stupid reasons. Another example is the phrase "I no no wanna" which was basically another way of saying "I don't want to". I actually loved it; I thought it was cute to use. But in just the matter of a few weeks (maybe 2-3 weeks), people were already online saying that it's "cringe" to use now, or that it was "childish". I overall just have an annoyance to people who use the word "cringe" or think that since one think got popular, we should just move on from it and call it annoying. Like bro, you're practically saying "That was so last month!!!"..... please from the bottom of my heart, stfu 🫶

Thank u for taking the time to read this rant, have a good day/night!!!!!!
