Tear apart my plot!!!!!!!!

SOooooo im working on a lil passion story rn (ig thats what u call it, not planning on selling it or anything), and ive finally found a plot that i may actually invest in. Only thing is, i both overthink and underthink my plots, and while there are things that ive left out this lil synopsis,, thing, i would just like a fresh pair of eyes to sorta dig into the plot and sorta ask questions, give ideas, that kinda jazz.

Anyways, plot being,,

A space crew of 50, 40 humans and 10 augmented humans, are set to be the first beings to ever ride a FTL (faster than light :3) ship on a three year manned mission outside of the Oort Cloud. While the mission has an easy first year, a communication error causes the ship's auto pilot and it's neighboring non-manned ships to malfunction, causing them to send out random orders and crash into each other. Despite the crews attempts, the mayhem causes the ship to fly off in random directions before the autopilot shuts off entirely, leaving the crew lost and unable to communicate with Earth. 

Yeah scifi, what else from me lmao
