how to get rid of "those" pfps. (kinda)

hey users! as you know, there are many g*re pfps floating around “cool” new people on this platform. it's obviously sickening, and you just wish it was out of your life, right? well, you've come to the right place! here, let me show you in a few simple steps. warning!: this method seemingly only works on the desktop. sorry mobile users.

1. download and install the https://ublockorigin.com/ extension. it's a browser wide content/ad blocker that is free and open source. it works on spotify, youtube, news sites, and most importantly, spacehey.

   

2. go to spacehey's home page and open the extension.

   

3. click the highlighted button (eyedropper). if it doesn't appear, refresh spacehey and try again.

   

4. a crosshair will pop up, highlighting elements with red boxes. move the crosshair to where i have it, and then left click. MAKE SURE to not include the top yellow bar as this lets you search for friends later on!

   

5. a new window will appear at the bottom right, click the blue “create button”. this will filter out all profiles on the cool new people section, but don't worry, you can always click “view more” to find more buddies!

   

   and you're done! profiles are removed from this section, so your chance of seeing g*re is cut by half! try refreshing the page, and it's still gone (hooray!). if you want to revoke this change, turn off the extension.
