challengers movie

i saw challengers earlier this week and i llloooooovvedddd it!!!

as everyone was leaving the theater, almost everyone was talking about how dumb/overhyped it was. but i completely understood the movie for what it was. it was a piece of art, a story about a messy love triangle, completely showing us their lives and conflicts all throughout a tennis match, which was honestly peak cinema. 

i was constantly on the edge of my seat, just to be taken aback and get suupperrr deep into the lore sesh, just to AGAIN be whiplashed back into the match. they are written like real people, which is something i feel like i dont see in cinema anymore. i was watching the story of these three very real people, and if you told me this all happened and the movie was a well-documented telling of the love affair i would not be shocked slightly.

ok anyway ppl all over tumblr are like "art would be such a freak" but actually thats just how mike faist looks. i know that because i was once in the dear evan hansen fandom.
