Let's say that you wake up in a hospital with your kidneys connected to a famous violinist.
The violinist is extremely sick and was near death, so their fans kidnapped you and took you to this hospital in order to hook your kidneys up to theirs, as you are a perfect match.
You would need to be hooked together for about 9 months.
Fortunately, you have super strong kidneys, and should be relatively fine for those 9 months.
However, you did not consent to this, and do not know this violinist.
You have an opportunity to flag down a nurse and ask to be unhooked.
However, if you are unhooked prior to that 9 month mark, then the violinist will die.
What would you do?

I’d blackmail him into giving me a ridiculous sum of money in exchange for my time and kidneys.
So much money that I’d be set for life.
That way he can keep his life and I will be generously compensated.
And if he says no. Well ….sucks to be him.

Even though it would be a very difficult decision, I would flag the nurse down and ask to be unhooked. After all, I did not consent to having my kidneys hijacked for nearly a year.
