Curology Review (kind of)

Hey y'all so the other day I downloaded sweatcoin (shh I was bored and i walk a lot at work lmao ) and one of the offers to be redeemed was a curology box for 5 bucks (minus taxes). So I bought it!! Was that a scam? Probably, I think you can probably get the same box for free using someone's code somewhere on YouTube but ANYWAY. I'm going to try to give updates.

1.) The box ended up being 7.30 ish (US dollars) with shipping and taxes, which was not that bad for me though I'm not sure I'd buy another one yet lol. So the box came with a cleanser, a moisturizer, a lip balm, emergency acne patches, and a specialized formula for my skin (supposedly). The bottles are pretty small, though it is supposed to be like a trial box so I can't complain too much about that.

  1. The lip balm is great honestly, I only need to apply it once and it's made my lips pretty soft. With other lip balms I've used, I always have to reapply pretty quickly, except for this one lip gloss that smells like mangoes (highly recommend). It also smells good, they gave me a mint one. I'm not sure if they send other scents.
  2. The moisturizer and the cleanser are pretty good so far, too. The cleanser I can't say for sure how it's working, since it's the first day of using it. (I used the lip balm as soon as the box got here lol) Neither of them burned or stung my skin, which happens often. I think it's because a lot of facial washes have fragrances lol, but on the quiz I took I let them know I am allergic to that. The moisturizer isn't super oily or like greasy feeling at all, which is a plus.
  3. As for the "specialized formula", again I can't really see how well it's worked since it's the first day. I have no complaints, though! It also didn't sting at all.
  4. I haven't used the acne patches, since I already have some other ones from like the dollar store, but I do have a pimple so I'm debating whether or not I should open those and use one or use up the dollar store ones first. Maybe I could do a curology vs dollar store type thing? I would need to get another pimple though xD

The only thing I'm worried about is what if I finish the bottles before I see the finished product or something? I think that's what the point of those small bottles are, since the actual full bottles are like 69-100 bucks a month (yikes btw, I am NOT paying that) Anyway, that's all for now.

2.) okay so it's been a couple of days since I got the box. I haven't used it like EVERY day since usually my skin gets irritated if I do that. I have been using it every other day. Honestly, so far it hasn't affected me negatively at all! I want to see if I can get the photos I sent them and some pictures from now to see if there's any difference. Of course I still think I wanna wait until all the product is gone but so far so good!

3.) Okay, so it has officially been a month since I got this box. I have to say, I only have one issue. Since I started using curology, my skin has become wayy more oily. Like, my T-zone was oily, but not THIS oily. Now, I haven't broken out at all besides the first few days and that wasn't even a bad breakout, but the oil is still a bit of an issue to me and I'm a little worried it could lead to a breakout but so far nothing. The lip balm has lasted this whole time, the scent is a little weaker but that's nothing crazy honestly. The body wash works really well, though again I haven't used it every time I shower or anything. So far, pretty good! I'll update if anything goes wrong, or gets better!
