Hii, boring topic but
I'm a 16 year old high school student. Currently I am a sophomore in high school, about to be a junior. It's the end of the year, I barely have any school left before summer break. We've done our testing already and we're not doing too much in class.
When I was in middle school, approaching high school I was absolutely terrified. I thought high school was gonna be the worst thing ever. I thought the teachers would be more strict and work would be harder but in fact, it's not really. I was always told by my teachers in 6th-8th grade that high school isn't gonna be easy and that your teachers will be a bit more strict.
My teachers in fact are not strict, no one really cares about the dress code (thank god, the dress code is stupid & i think sexist.)
Nothing is as hard or scary as I thought it would be.
But my middle school teachers were right about one thing,
High school will fly by SO fast. It feels like I started my freshman year just yesterday, but now I'm a sophomore about to be a junior. It's already about to be summer. I think I will miss high school actually,
High school is kind of fun. Making friends, hearing all the drama that happens (Yk the fights, and other crap high schoolers do for whatever reason.)
I love high school. I'll miss it a lot but I'm so so excited for college.
I can't wait for college, I wanna be a fashion designer or maybe even a doctor or nurse.
I'm terrified of course to grow up, to pay taxes & bills & all that crap. I'm not ready for that, to have to make big decisions.
But I'm excited for my future, to get married, to travel & do fun things in life.
Anyway, I'm gonna miss high school. I know I'm not a junior just yet & I still have 2 years of high school left but,
2 years have already gone by pretty quickly so I imagine the next 2 will fly by just as quick. I'm not ready for that.

Another thing about school in general,
It's soso draining. Waking up so early just to get ready and sit at school for the next few hours. Barely having any free time because you have to do homework, you're at school almost all day. Then after school having other things to do, for example if you're in college or high school having a job.
I feel that parents, teachers & anyone who hasn't gone to school in years has forgotten how draining school really is. It isn't easy, it's tiring, just because you have a job and your child doesn't does not mean we're not tired too. We go to school 7 days a week, barely having any time to ourselves.
