Black bass strings?

Its the time of the year where I needa restring her. Usually i use Ernie Ball standards (Slinky or whatever theyre called.. i js play the instrument lol), but recently Dr Strings; Black Beauties line of strings that are pure black instead of the standard silver caught my eye. Anyone who plays guitar or more preferably bass and uses/has used these strings, r they worth the $50? Thanx homies!
