I'm not listening to any music. I want to change it back.

So I figured, maybe I no longer post here on the tech stuff neither I publish the list of albums I listen to onto here anymore. But this is a community focused on culture consumption and thus maybe a better one a wider for this

I am currently not listening to any music. Of course, I am mostly still listening to albums when I do, but I don't. So much don't that music I happen to be exposed to from the radio of a taxi driver constitue a significant portion.

I have my 90s' CD player. It skips a lot now, as it progressed with it over the months I've had it. It is too disturbing to use. I shall open it real quick and dust off the optics, not with a brush disc but by hand, but still not that much of a procedure to disassemble it. I don't. It do be a bit bulky so some space is needed to do it comfortably. I fear I will end up taking a break and it will end up lying around in parts for weeks or months.

I have access to a friend's home collection NAS which also effectively serves as the closest to a central repository for music files for me. Other than that, some files lie in my backups and on my laptops. I sometimes download an album, but I don't have much space on my laptops and I don't like to keep track of where I store which albums.

But even with that, the most important places of where I store music are my phone and the microSD cards for my pocket mp3 player. Except the player can't produce good sound on wire with the Sennheiser HD 4.40BT that I've been now having for about a year.

My phone has very little space these days, apps for all kinds of services take an absurd amount and a more-equipped device has no point with how it never gets satiated. Also with how anyway, apps treat their /data as a cache which they treat as a space that's wasted if they don't fill it up with whatever they can store preloaded for better performance of their own. It has a microSD slot… exchangeable for the Dual SIM functionality which I employ intensely.

But I also grown so unused to listening to music that I fear the fatigue it may bring upon me. I associate it with the headaches from the over-head 'phones, with the unpleasantry of having canal earbuds stuck in the ears, anything that I remember from last having had pulled either kind of 'phones from my head after some six hours or so of listening, or after some six hours or so of a work headset.

Of having had a bad pick of an album, of being too annoyed with a novelty, or being too annoyed with listening to the same thing again. Of that I will have to give up on an album I start and take to choosing and downloading another one for fifteen minutes… or more if I am in transit.

I should maybe use my microSD-to-USB-type-C adapter some more and keep the music on there… I can download it with phone onto there too, after all… I maybe just need a catalogue of what I have on which microSD, again. Maybe it should be Find-searchable Palm Memos generated from directory listings, that I would put on my tiny Palm Z22.
