challengers!!!

ok i saw challengers last night but i can't post about it on letterboxd cos my friends follow me on there and i'm supposed to be watching it with them for the 'first time' tomorrow......

anyways biggest takeaway: they are all hot aaaand not to be vain but that's usually what tops a movie for me

and WHYYY is no one talking about patrick/josh o'connor, i feel like a minority in this. I DON'T SEE ANYONE TALKING ABOUT HIM >:( and when I watched all his interviews and realised the dichotomy between him and his character....his performance was insane. And zendaya and mike obvs loved them. also i see a lot of people hating on tashi and honestly i didn't get why.....like they treat her as if she was the biggest villain and she came between art and patrick....LIKE THEY PURSUED HER?!!?!!!??! and bisexuals exist....

and not to be like every other bitch but diner scene.....yeah let's talk about it

oh yes, also i saw so many like cmbyn references like there was this one outfit that patrick wears in the beginning that looked straight out of elio's wardrobe and the zendaya dance scene like alright we get it LUCA!

editing was so cool, i love feeling like a tennis ball. and the music omg i was popping and locking in the theatre. and all the cool allusions to tennis stuff like the i told ya shirt and even tashi watching them kiss i was like OHH its like she's watching a tennis match I SEE!!!!!

also i was telling my friend that tashi seemed very aromantic....what do yall think......

i would probs say 8/10 MUCH ENJOYED. WOULD WATCH AGAIN (i literally have to pretend ive never seen it tomorrow)
