Ozamu Dazai / No longer Human
Hmm, among the interests this book sparked in me and what motivated me
to read it was its title 'No longer human?' I understood it to mean 'no
longer human' due to the protagonist's loss of humanity as a result of
the conflicts experienced throughout his life, where he explored themes
such as alienation, depression, and the search for identity in a society
that demands conformity. I loved its intimate and often disturbing
narrative, which reveals the dark thoughts and emotions of Yozo,
offering a penetrating look at the fragility of the human mind and the
internal conflicts that can lead to self-destruction.
