slipping through my fingers

I feel that time passes by so quick
how many times did the clock tick?
time passes by like a steam train
but where I'm going is not something to rush.
"hush" they say, "we know you're in pain but you really should stay"
the voices get louder
"she needs you"
"shes waiting for you"
I cant go on
I would rather die of a broken heart than to break her's
why don't I feel I have the right to put my emotions first or tell her how I feel
some day I'll be walking down the isle with someone I pretended to love.
I would be honored to be by her side
but time just slipped through my fingers and now were here.
