are there any other music website alternatives that aren't youtube or spotify? i want to curate playlists and all that for my website without it being a part of some big corpo

what do you guys use?

SoundCloud and deezer come to mind. I can’t exactly say they’re more altruistic alternatives, however.
If you’d like to support artists and avoid online platforms, I’d suggest buying CDs outright and ripping the music to put on your phone, etc.
You’d still be paying money to all sorts of companies involved in producing the music outside of the artists themselves, but it would cut the streaming platforms out of the equation.
