about red dead redemption 2 _ [SPOILERS]

soooo i finished playing red dead redemption 2 a couple of weeks ago and i genuinely havent stopped thinking about it since

this game is probably one of, if not THE best game you'll ever play, im SO serious

i started playing it because of my bf because he absolutely loves this game, and i started jokingly hating on arthur morgan because in the beginning he seems kinda like your average dumb brute HAHA

so i playeddd and fell in love with charles and javier ofc and i especially admired dutch as a leader and father figure for arthur and john

and then you learn about arthur's illness and OH MY GOD I WASNT READY. i genuinely cried for a VERY long time after, it was so heartbreaking and the fact that it happens kind of late in the game?? like you're already attached to his character and it makes everything just sadder, esp since i tried to make him take the high honor route and you can really see him start to change and try to become a better person and it feels like everything is just CRUSHED by the news </3

i stopped playing for a few days i think, and then i got back to it and pushed through (the scene with the nun was heartbreaking, seeing arthur so sad and like, almost like a small child?? devastating) and it just genuinely broke me how dutch just continuously failed arthur and the rest of the camp. he is such an interesting and charismatic character so even if he did awful things and you can slowly see him give up on everyone, i still love him as a character.

the "end" with arthur was so beautiful honestly, and at this point i couldnt even pretend in front of my bf that i hated him i just BAWLED MY EYES OUT LMAOOO

for the rest of the week it felt like i was grieving someone real, it was so weird but at the same time its just one of the best games ever for this reason, you get so attached and the characters are so fleshed out that it just all feels too real!!

and ofc the epilogue with john was really nice, i love him sm even if hes a dumbass LMAO
