Which As You Know Means Violence

Hey freaks,

I recently finished reading Which as You Know Means Violence, which is a book by Philippa Snow. It's about self-injury in art and entertainment. It's honestly great. I saw it at the MOMA and mulled over buying a copy for several months before just deciding to do it (plus, it's relevant to my own research). I thought it would be primarily about "high" art / and performance art since, y'know, it was in the MOMA, but it actually talks a lot about internet culture and, mostly, Jackass. It was a great book and a fun read.

I read some of the other essays on Snow's website. Most of them were pretty good. Her review of Other People's Clothes was particularly good, and now I kinda want to read that book.
