About Anime

I made some noodles, and wanted to put on an anime to watch while I was eating. But, it took me so long to find one that by the time I found one I'd like, I'd already finished the whole dish!

Is it just me, or are most animes really boring? That, or just plain creepy. There's a certain threshold of creepiness to hilarity that a lot of animes cant do well. Take Watamote for example.

The protagonist of Watamote, Tomoko (pictured above) is a total bonafide creep. And yet I still rewatch this anime because it's absolutely hillarious. The audience is expected to laugh at Tomoko's terrible behavior, and that makes it work perfectly. It's a nice balance of cringe comedy.

A lot of other creepy animes just want the audience to go "OH!! THAT CHARACTER IS SO HOT!!" and it's super gross, and makes the show suck absolute ass. It's about audience intention, yknow? That, or it's just plain shitty writing on a lot of director's parts. That's why lots of animes suck really bad.
