soul punk and folie a deux

zzz good morning

soul punk has been on repeat since i woke up to get ready for school this morning. i really don't understand how it got so much hate, especially considering patricks iconic lyricism and composition. like sure, it's different from fall out boy, but it's patrick's solo project, not another fall out boy album, y'know? of course there's gonna be differences, but i guess people lacked common sense in the early 2010s. i mean seriously, if i wasn't busy graduating pre-school in 2011, i would've been the #1 soul punk defender!!! i'm suuuper jealous of everyone that got to hear any soul punk song live (including as a medley on 2ourdust)!! i always look up live performances, and looks so fun to hear it live!! it's just silly funky music to jam out to!! allie is probably my favorite on the album too (honorable mention love selfish love on truant wave) and it's so much fun to sing LMAO.

on the topic of fall out boy though, i also don't get how folie a deux got so much hate when it was first released too? i mean sure it was different from their past albums, but folie was some of their best music both lyrically and music production wise. i'm so glad i live in a generation where headfirst slide and disloyal order are setlist staples. infact, i think EVERYONE should hear headfirst slide into cooperstown on a bad bet live, patrick's vocals are INSANE live. seriously felt like i was ascending to heaven. 

but anyways, geometry is about to end. gotta go to psychology !!!
