woahhh, my first blog post!!! okokok if you're here from my twitter, then you already know what i'm all about. i'm posting this first silly stream of consciousness just because it will bring me no peace of mind at all to see it empty.
as i write it, i'm hearing my cat's tiny little snores as he sleeps. his snores are loud, almost a kind of groaning sound. maybe he's having a nightmare. he thinks he's well hidden from the world, and yet his little sleepy time whistles give him in easily. this is a very calming sound for me. i also hear a dog barking at an undefinable distance. i can hear crows chirping very loudly at each other, probably telling the other to hurry up and get moving. or maybe they're ravens. i don't know, i can never tell the difference between the two. a car just passed by. and another. and another. and another. and another. oh, a bus just passed by. that's different. The buses that turn on my street are terrifying because it's a very narrow space to maneuver in, so if you're waiting to cross the street at the edge of the crossroads, it really does feel like its snoot will bump you into oblivion. i mean, imagine an object of that height looking like it's coming at you at full speed only to turn at the very last second. you know it will turn, but what if it doesn't??? these drivers are quite skillful with their big big buses.
being a bus driver seems like a stressful job. you have do deal with a lot of people. conducting a train underground sounds calming, though. it looks like a very peaceful job. just you and your controls in your dark cabin, going through tunnels all day long. if art doesn't work out, i will be conducting your subways. or maybe if art does work out, and i become a successful animator with a production and everything, i will still do it as a part time job.
