Rockman Midi Pedal repair #1

One of the things about buying vintage gear is many things can be bad, going bad, or soon to be going bad, usually when you least expect it!

Today I am inspecting my Rockman MIDI pedal to see what is wrong. The Blue Down button doesn't work and some LEDs are burnt out. The rust is normal this unit bcause they weren't properly painted from the factory apparently, so I will have to clean up all of the "rust dust" and replace rusted screws with new ones.

I will upload more photos when I find an easier to do it from my phone.

Half can of contact cleaner spilled on the circuit, and you're good to go :D

One of the foot switches alone needs about half a can haha.

Hope you get it sorted. Vintage rockmans are awesome, i was planning to make x100 pedal myself, if i have some time on my hands. Best of luck

Yeah, but they are getting ridiculous in price now though! You build your own FX units? I was thinking about messing with a compressor kit but not sure yet.

Yes i do! But i seem to have more plans, then time to accomplish them. I've succesfully build some pedals in the past, but nothing ultra-complex. x100 looks like a bit of challenge tho. All the schematics are googlable.
