Hello, everyone. It's been a while since I've even logged on. Anyway, I'll cut past the nonsense and get to what you clicked on this for-- the writing log.
So! I've been gaining motivation like a bike rolling down a hill gains momentum, and because of that, I've been writing a lot more in my free time. I figured I would share just the basics of what I've been doing as of late.
ROGUES! I've been writing a lot more of Rogues. I finished the linear chapter 21 (Linear meaning without accounting for combined chapters and the like.)
A little bit of YALTWFMT. I know it's not one of my particularly popular stories. So what, you know? I enjoy it. Enjoyment is good. Self indulgence is good in stories like this. If I didn't enjoy it, who says it would even exist in the first place?
Unreleased Story: Finch Song. Okay, I've aught to say that I have a really complicated relationship with the story of Finch Song, seeing as it is an adaptation of something I made in like 2018ish when I was very new to the English language. But, since the middle of 2023, I have found myself with a renewed love for the premise, and changed some things, of course, but still kept the things I loved.
More unreleased and randoms. Yeah, lots of those. Some of them I might never share because they're just brain dumping. Fun, though, and a great character-building exercise.
Rereading and looking back at old work. I've surprisingly done that a lot, too. Especially just in this last week! I looked back at the stuff I wrote for the first chapter of Rogues in early 2021, and I was like... "I used to be that cool? I was able to write like that?" In reality, I had many physical drafts, one of which I am very irate that I discarded most of. I did catch some things that I would never do, and it made me feel honestly pretty neutral. Along with rereading older chapters of Rogues to help me write more of the current chapters, I've been looking back at some of my (comparatively) recent stories that I was planning to share on Quotev but just never gained the courage to. You know how people are. I've also been thinking about my much older works from early 2020 and, although I don't have access to them (and many other stories that I never kept) I still keep them in my memory and plan to rework them in some way or another.
Thanks for tuning in.
Good day.
