Frick school (rant/vent)

ok so basically my homeroom teacher was talking about volunteering at a retirement home a while back and i put my hand up ( so i was basically like one of the first ppl ) and i REALLY want to do it, i currentley volunteer at an op shop (for yall americans - thrift shop) and i also love helping/talking to old ppl :3 ANYWAYZ so today at school my teacher suddenley told me that they would do a wheel to decide who comes to volunteer NOTE: SHE NEVER MENTIONED THIS BEFORE? ONLY TODAY?? and that just make me anxious bc i rlly wanted to voluteer and OFC my name does not get picked... LIKE IM SO FRICKING UPSET. ughhhh ik other ppl deserve it too but like i was legit one of the first ppl who put their hands up and plus she KNOWS how desperately i wanted it. i basically just did not talk and kept my head down the rest of the homeroom when they picked the names bc WTF? like if you are going to do something TELL US THEN. also if its bc too many put their hands up THEN PICK THE FIRST 8?? UGH. im just rlly upset and in no way am i saying that the people who got dont deserve it but im just really devasted bc my parents were REALLY excited for me and i was too :-( ALSO NOTE THAT BASICALLY EVERYONE ELSE GOT PICKED BESIDES ME AND MY FRIEND?? SO EVERYONE ELSE VS 2 OTHER PPL LIKE WHAT THATS NOT FAIR AT ALL

anyways sorry for the big rant/vent but im dealing with some big emotions.

(plz be nice in the comments, ik this may sound selfish or something but plz understand how i may feel rn and how much this meant to me)
