It wasn't that he cared about the dancing, it was more about his partner. Raphael handed him a drink. "Ida, how nice of you to show your face."
"You are the one who asked me here."
"You did not have to come."
"You know I would not dissapoint you." Raphael smiled at this. Ida felt like a dog in his presence, not that he didn't like it. It was nice to be claimed as someone's. Rapael wiped something inconcievable off his shoulder, patting him there, resting a too warm hand that squeezed with want of something he wasn't sure he could supply. "Did you enjoy the trip here?" Raphael asked, trailing his hand to Ida's elbow, "I did, thank you for your supply." Ida did not look down, he felt scared that he would not see kind green eyes staring back at him, or maybe he was scared that there would.
Music began to play at some point. He was surrounded by posh politeness, the kind that makes you want to smack the glass into their face. He was lead out to the garden, "You know how I take noise." Raphael said, toeing the ground, he would not be acting like this if Shylo were here. "You take it like your coffee, you have no taste for the bitterness of it, even when covered with sugar, you feel like it's mocking you." Ida said mindlessly.
