In the home, where walls close in tight,

Demanding, judging, never light,

Arguing for the dumbest things,

Leaving scars, clipped wings.  

The weight of words, too heavy to bear,

Invisible chains, choking the air.

The urge to flee, to find some peace,

To escape the nightmare, sweet release.  

But within these walls of strife,

Lies the strength to reclaim my life.

To rise above the hurt and fear,

And find my way, a clear path.

So I'll break free from this cage,

No longer trapped by rage.

I'll journey towards a brighter place,
