Life with strict Christian parents pt.1

My life has been absolute shit with strict Christian parents. well technically "parent". my mom is Pentecostal and my dad just follows her lead. my parents weren't always like this though like they would smoke and get high and get drunk and leave us home alone to go to parties or sometimes they would even lock us in our rooms while they threw the parties themselves downstairs. but after a lot of years of staying out of contact with my pastor grandfather they finally texted him and got into church thinking it would help us (their children) live better lives. instead we grew up hating my parents and THEIR church. dont get me wrong im grateful they tried but i feel like they only tried to gain control over us even more then they already had. like my sister is 18 and my mom keeps things from her like her birth certificate and other important things just to prevent her from leaving and thriving in life. my bother tried to unalive himself and my other one ran away. my mom just doesn't stope an my dad goes along with her. its funny how he acts as her lap dog when he was the on who would always try to beat her and us. well they would both do it but he did it more. so yeah my life is hell with church and my mom is crazy . Does anyone else go through this?
