and I hate that I'm constantly gaslight into thinking that I like this new Kings of Leon song with a truly terrible chorus even by their standards because the verses sound vaguely like beck/eels/king missile/soul coughing/etc.
i listen to unacceptable amounts of rock radio bc its fascinating to engage with a format that is pretty much 100% dead

like i desperately want to have some tether to working class normiedom and not be a heartless snob but enjoying anything on those stations even a little bit makes me feel the need to cleanse my soul with a zorn record full of incessant mdeski organ noodling, literally what i'm doing right now
