Deep inside the forest at the top of Presidio Hill, overlooking Old Town, San Diego, there once lived a deer named Lucy.
Her fur was as white as the snow. The hills were her home, and visitors came by the dozens for a chance to glance at her. She became a special guest of the park in the backyard of an old mission. However, she was to be relocated and she would have to say goodbye to this green paradise. And in the process of being sedated, she was given more than what was needed. Tragically, she passed away, and her soul and body would now forever rest in the hills she once called home.
