My heart belongs to someone that doesn't know me 

they are infatuated with a carefully put together disguise that i created, not to find love, but to save myself 

from the pitch forks and fire of my small town

its a suffering i brought on myself 

a pain i accept as an alternative to fear

until my costume falls off
